Of the 7 apple bowls left from Everett’s tree, only one was worth finishing and this is the one.

Sitting by the lathe was this walnut blank that said it needed to be finished after being rough shaped 3 years ago… it did it too.

They are both finished with EEE polish and Shellawax.

Cheers, Jim

Nice bowls Jim. 3 years ago HUH? I guess it was plenty dry to finish.

Real nice Jim, especially the walnut one.

they both look fine – I started to ask last week why you would spend time trying to shape a bowl out of a dripping wet apple log knowing the item would go askew but now I see

Thanks you all for the nice comments. I think I am through with bowls for a while !!!!!!

Hi Dick, they were real wet last Dec but with the help of a dry barn and a microwave, I have them under control. sometimes the wet ones are finish turned on purpose to get them to go oval !

Hi Mahdee. The walnut bowl is 8 1/2” x 3” and the apple one is 7” x 2”.

Cheers, Jim
