This modern look Urn is for a Friend who is getting half of his son’s remains. Don’t let the look of the box deceive you the size is 8 in wide by 11 long, 4 in high sides. the lid is 8 in by 9 in. All is 1/2 ash. I wanted the look of the ends projecting above the lid and when he receives all things we will glue and clamp it shut. I may add a touch of brass screws on the sides, also leaving the idea we could do that at the top. I drew a center line and 3 lines for the lettering. If you have not done this free hand you work out from the center. Keep a white rubber eraser nearby. I used a V bit after test cut on some scrap and have made some signs before, slow and practice helps. I think the Friend will be pleased.

Nice work oldguy2, which prompted me to check as to who was oldguy1 …looks like they are already tucked away in in a similar box!

Scary part is soon we may all be checking out the fine work from the inside!

Interesting process of the routing thank you!

Opps missed something, ... what are Family Sized Welch’s?
