Pretty slick. Those could be Christmas trivets for all the Ladies. Everyone needs something to set a hot pot on. Looked like a buck in scrap wood, a bit of tape, and some time. They would be quicker to make by the dozen, than setting up for just a solo run.

Very slick look and process itself.

Is it possible to cut dados first and then slice the board to strips (dado size should be adjusted)?
