I built this floor to ceiling wall mounted book case some time ago.

The sides where built out of two 1×12x10 rough sawn cedar, glued together and edges finished with a rasp

to match the rough sawn pattern on the sides

The shelfs where made out of 1×12 clear Redwood (that is impossible to buy around here mow)

I chose redwood because they where very straight and still are today

The backs have a stone design 4×8 panel that was cut and installed after the sides where up

I used a tee shaped flat bracket that screwed into the back of the sides and into the wall allowing

all the weight to rest on the floor.

All the shelves where made fully adjustable by installing A brass-colored steel shelf standard that I recessed into the sides

I painted the shelves and finished the sides with a roller and minwax Polyshades.

NIce. I like the “stone” backing. That was a clever addition.
