Wire Cheese Cutter Board

Watching the ladies in the church kitchen toiling with knives to cut large deli blocks of cheese (to make cubes for serving) got me thinking about whether there was a better way. Looking at restaurant tools, I found several wire blade devices, so I made my own version to try. I just finished it, so I don’t know whether it will be welcome in the kitchen. The board is oak; handle is walnut; finish is mineral oil. The wire is a replacement wire for one of the commercial cutters (ordered on Amazon (6 count for about $12).

If it cuts the cheese just have it go outside till it’s done…...
