Our great-grandson turned 1 today. I made his a small fleet of 2×4 vehicles painted in the brightest colors I had. I’ve made these for years for the children seem to be a big hit.

Very neat.

Just realistic enough and made as durable as rocks!

Will last for generations of play time!

Thanks for the nice comments everyone! We have 10 grand one one Great-Grand children and they all play with the vehicles I made of 15 yrs ago. The first ones I made still have their brightness of color, simplicity of design and huge in amounts of imagination!

What perfect gifts for a first birthday – he’ll have a blast with them for years! Love the colors – did you put a finish over the paint?

I applied a lot of light coats (10-12) of polyurethane to the vehicles. The vehicles I made 10+ yrs ago still look great and they have been played with very hard over those years.
