Greetings fellow LJ,

My daughter likes to play ukulele’s and asked me if I could make her one. I purchased a kit from Stewart Mac to get an idea of how to make one. This is the result of the kit. in the future, I plan on making one from scratch… at least my thoughts are making one. Thanks for looking.

Looks good Brian, seems like a logical approach using a kit for the first build, looks super nice work.

Brian, Stew Mac makes great kits. This is the right place to start and would make a great pattern for a build. Instruments are really all about the sound.

Since you have made this excellent uke, the next job is to make a hanger. This is my design, you might improve on it. Having a uke handy and not having to get it out of the case makes casual playing time easier. My uke is hanging right next to me as I am typing this. When I finish with this comment, I’ll pick the uke up and play a song or two and put it back in a second or two.

Nice job on the ukulele, great finish, fine job of stringing, hope it frets well and sounds great. Now make a hanger.
