Another brick cuttingboard

.... actually there were 3. The wood is Movingui (brick) and Hickory (mortar). My 1st thought when I saw the Movingui at the local wood store was ‘I have to do a brick board with this” The soft yellow colour reminded me of the yellow brick farm houses where I grew up in SW Ontario … then of course there’s the famous Yellow Brick Road. I keep forgetting though how end grain and mineral oil changes the colour so much.
Anyone know of a food-safe finish for cutting boards that won’t darken the wood?

Very cool, love the idea.

Good work Sheila! I like that most woods darken, I just hope to have some very white Maple or some Holly to give my boards some contrast.
