It’s hard to capture the iridescence of the grain in photos, but it’s mesmerizing in person. The jatoba was intimidating due to its density, but it worked well. I made a ton of wispy ribbon shavings using a curved scraper, which required frequent sharpening. Would love to have a chuck, as I am always a little off when remounting to the face plate for hollowing. Finish is danish oil on this one.
