Ford “C” Cab Farm Truck for local community club Easter fund raiser…

YES, Easter is only a couple of weeks away….

With the help of Doug, aka Hunter, I got the shape of the early 1920’s C Cab for this truck.

The rest of the truck was made up as I went; “yay” scratch built, along with a few mistakes…

I tried a new method of making the front mudguards [fenders], using 2 holesaws then cutting the ring in half and it’s seems to have worked.

The fuel tanks design is borrowed from Dutchy, thank you Jan.

The tailgate has 3 off 5/16” [8mm] locating dowels with reinforcement under the tray.

Timbers used are Spotted Gum for the tray & cabin roof;
Oak for the seat & mudflaps along with the front & rear bumper bars; Pacific Maple for the tailgate & sides; Merbau for the engine; Pine for the running boards & mudguards; Iron Bark for the exhaust stacks; with home made Wipe On Poly as the finish.
[30% Tung Oil, 40% Satin Clear Polyurethane, 30% Mineral Turps]

The steering wheel is on the right hand side for Australian drivers.

The local Boys & Girls Club run a couple of Guessing Competitions a year were I provide a truck to fill with lollies, but with Easter, it’s chocolate eggs that you have to guess the correct number.

Thank you Bruce, the small wheels on the back were the result of a mistake, when I forgot to raise the tray.

Nice job crowie,,, for someone that brags humility, you manage to churn out some gems…

Those chocolates will make the tooth fairy put in for overtime!

You’d think Christiaan Huygens would have taught the Dutch some basic maths… didn’t you say it was a 1920 Cab?

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

Nice work Crowie, should be a great fund raiser and a good chocolate feast for the winner. Well done.

The tooth fairy is not my worry, also I can’t afford the calories….
Already been to the dentist already this year, cost too much….
I don’t eat the sweet milk chocolate & hardly any dark chocolate, so no tickets for me….
But thank you Alex for the kind words.

I too, am hoping for a good outcome on the dollars Bob, normally between $150 and $300 for my toys as profit, so great deal for the club.
