Very good theme for cutting board. Luckily in my country there are no Am. football teams and players so I will not have to make it , hopefuly. Looks so complex work.

Looks good. When I saw this in the magazine they had some weird technique for gluing in the stripes. Did you follow that technique or just lay it straight?

I added 1/4” to both halves and did away with the 1/2” “filler” pieces that were shown in the plans. I then attached the two equal halves together with double stick tape, cut a 1/4” groove with the dado cutters and glued the long laces in place. When cutting the cross lace pieces, I only had to set the depth once and cut them together to the same depth as the halves on my project were the same. This technique made it much easier to cut and to glue and had the added bonus of eliminating an extra joint in the middle of the project. I have made three of these using this technique and have not had any problems.
