I built this rocker for my daughter’s second birthday. Case is made of pine painted with milk paint. Sides are dadoed and nailed. Not sure what the angle is, just adjusted the bevel gauge till it looked right. The bottom is nailed on and has a bead cut with a wooden beading plane (first time doing that). Rockers are made of ash and got one coat of walnut danish oil before the whole thing was finished with Arm-r-seal. As usual this was made with 100% hand tools.

Very Nice! Cradle for a 2 year old? Round here, by 2 they are feeding the Chickens and stacking firewood! :)

Whoops, I should specify that the cradle is for her to put her dolls into. Not that it stops her from climbing in herself and asking me to rock her on occasion.

there is no joy better than making a gift for your own child. Well maybe number 2 is making gifts for your grand children. very nice job.
