Adjustable Height Pulpit with locking gas cylinder

New adjustable height podium for our church. It uses a Bansbach locking gas cylinder to raise it. The cross design was from Jeremy Schrock.

The ends of the columns were segmented oak strips that I turned, then split in half. The upper column rises in a maple sliding dovetail track and there are 6 roller bearings located near the top of the base column to help tension the riser column from rattling too much.

Finished with Minwax Golden Oak stain and Sherwin Williams Hi-Bild Pre-Cat Lacquer
