I was turning a bowl and it broke apart on me in the final stages of turning, but instead of tossing it, I repaired it in a way that was inspired by a song that my brother Peter wrote, called “Japanese Bowl”. I made a video showing the repair, and have Peter’s song playing in the background while I mix gold pigment and epoxy to create the repair. Here’s the video if you want to check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCEW3T223TA

Thanks for looking!

I like the idea of fixing it rather than discarding it. That bowl is too pretty to trash.

Nice save on the bowl. And your brother’s song is great!
