I wanted to do a good and evil themed box and this is what I came up with. Maple, black walnut, figured African mahogany, copper, Birch, and this lid is either goldfield or brown mallee burl, one side stained ebony. My dad said it is kind of creepy looking and looks like a double coffin. Dad that’s what I was going for

I like the contrasting wood colors you chose. I particularly like the ebony stained side of the lid, that looks very nice. I can’t quite tell but are the two halves of the lid bookmatched?
