Headphone stands - brazillian cherry (jatoba) and walnut/maple

Had some pieces of jatoba and walnut lying around, decided to make headphone stands out of them.

Decided to sandwich a layer of thin maple between the two 0.60 inch walnut boards.

Finished with Danish Oil and then multiple coats of oil based polyurethane.

Looks good. How the base attached?

Thanks. Base is attached with 3 drywall screws..1 1/4”. I wanted to do dowels to have all wood construction but felt that I might want to break it down for travel compactness.

Looks good. How the base attached?
