MY sister stopped for a visit and wanted to see what I was working on. I had the coffee table done and the end table slab ready for finish. Both slabs came from the same slab which came out of my back yard. We worked out a price for both and ordered two sets of legs. I painted the legs, finished the end table top and delivered them to her yesterday. She was very happy with the final results.
The pictures dont show the real color. they were lots darker. i dont have a good place to take photos.

i really love my live edge walnut

Beautiful wood and nicely finished. It’s so refreshing to see something other than hairpin legs.

Those slabs are beautiful. The curl in them is really something. What are they finished with?

thanks for the comments everyone.

the finish i used is Osmo polyx-oil. i used a 4” micro fiber roller and put on a very thin coat each time. sanded with 600 grit between first and second coat and used 800 between second coat. another trick i used was to use a turkey baster to remove small amounts of finish from the can as you dont need alot. this help prevent contamination of the unused finish. this finish is expensive but it goes a long ways.
thanks again for looking and everyones comments
