I decided to make a hanging tool cabinet out of some walnut I had lying around. I found a piece a figured maple that looked like the tree had a metal spike in it. I decided to highlight that feature.

Wow, love the walnut and maple combination. Those dovetails are perfect! I also like the walnut in the finger pull of the drawer; how was that done? How thick is the maple in the doors?

Thanks for all the wonderful compliments! I did not show it but the whole case are dovetails. They take forever so I was trying different techniques for speed and accuracy and the one I found that worked best was cutting the dovetails on the table saw that I cut the drawers with.

Oni, The thickness on the maple is just under 3/4. I made them thicker since I knew I would be mounting tool holders to them and needed the thickness. I cut a 2 inch radius for the drawer pull, then turned a piece of walnut on the lathe to fit. I then used a parting tool to cut the thickness I wanted, cut it in half and glued them in.
