Built this chips and dip tray out of bird’s eye maple and mahogany. It measures 14” L x 5” W. Used a 2” hole saw for the dip hole rounding the edges with a router. I really lucked out free handing the routeing of the chips area. I couldn’t find a bowl & tray router bit, so I used a core box bit and a lot of sanding. I used 3 coats of mineral oil followed by rubbing in a beeswax and orange oil to complete a food safe finish.

I’ve seen so many tools used to make that cutout for your cheese/dip/crackers. What did you use?

Nice job, this would be great for gifts.

Thanks for posting.
