It’s been so long since I’ve been on this site. A lot has happened since my husband died. I moved, retired and I bought a house that has a huge work room. Love it. I have a laser engraver now that I’m still learning to use. My cabin has been thru two floods in the last three years and this year is looking bad! But I’m getting my house together now. My son has helped me so much with everything. We started working on the last room in my, the bar. I told him just build me the frame for the bar and I can do the rest. Of course he did more. When he helped me with the drawer fronts and used the router for the first time he said, Oh My God Mom! He was blown away! I think I have him hooked. It’s crazy because I’m teaching him. I built the drawers and he helped with the fronts. It’s pretty simple. But i think we did a pretty good job together. I did the bar top and the epoxy, which I’m new to. This weekend we made the baseboard out of wine corks. I think the bar is finished!

Janice, I have also not been on the site much. It’s great to hear from you! Excellent work on the bar, and on getting your son hooked on woodworking. I predict many future mother-son projects!

Like that bar I do. Love that under lighting as well. I’m scratching my head a little at that one pic of what I’m guessing is baseboard. Are those beer cans in between a top and bottom rail? If that is it, well I like that a LOT.
Nice post, thanks for letting us see.
Well shoot, if I just read, instead of looking at pictures, a wine bar then, well ok…..
