Elegant

The goal for this piece was based on the need for a small corner table for the TV to sit on. As is often the case with my work the material dictates the design.
The top is half of an old bed head. It was panelled to a lower portion. The curve was the original curve of the top of the bed head repeated on the opposite side.
The edging is American walnut left over from the wine cabinet (previous project). The legs are returned chair legs salvaged from some very poorly made chairs I found. No idea what the timber is.
The top is Silky Oak, an Australian hard wood.
I always have an emotional attachment to the things I make, but the word that comes to mind when I look at this piece is ‘elegant’. But that may be my emotional bias.

Well done Woody. You made good use of that bed head.
