Finished up my first jewelry box today…...this will be given as a baby shower gift next weekend. The box is walnut milled from a short section of log, and the lid panel is Sirari Rosewood. Used thin birch ply and adhesive backed corkboard for the bottom. Sanded to 320 and finished with Odie’s Oil.

When I originally cut the lid free from the box, I wasn’t thrilled with the cut line. I added a slight bevel to even things out and I feel it turned out well.

-- Measuring twice and cutting once only works if you read the tape correctly!
