I started one day playing around with different curves and arches and came up with this. This is made from rift sawn white oak, walnut, and walnut veneered mdf. The lid is from my small stash of curly walnut. The box bottom is lined with ivory colored felt. The finish is nothing more than Danish oil. The woods complement each other very well. The pictures don’t give this justice. Most times I make boxes to give away as gifts to friends and family, but I’m keeping this one. Thanks for looking.

Two features that make this a stand out – the cruly walnut top and the the handle that brings it all together. IMHO

I can see why you’re keeping this one. The features alone are nice looking besides the oak and walnut. Well done job buddy.

Sweet!
Having the arches throughout the design really makes this project shine (the wood selection is superb too!).

You need to consider adding trays, these would be great jewelry boxes.

That turned out very nice, something about the Legs makes it look very fancy! What are the approx. Dimensions?
Can never go wrong with Oak and Walnut, not sure about the mdf part?

Thanks ! It’s 4×9-1/2×5-1/2. The bottom is the mdf. I veneered walnut to a 1/4” mdf panel
