So my family recently bought our first small breed dog – Sir Winston, a Wire Haired Dachshund. He’s a great little guy and like many little dogs, seems to love to look out the window, but with those little legs, he can’t see out many of them! So the little guy needed a window seat, but I felt like making something fun with some extra cedar I had laying around. Growing up I was a huge fan of Raiders of the Lost Ark, and I thought it would be fun (if not practical) to make one based on the German Crate used in the film to carry the Ark. Still working on a ramp for the little guy, but he seems to like the view!

Clever crate. Add a doggie door and he can go inside.

Why did the cowboy get a Dachshund?
He was told to “get a’long little doggie”

“Bark of the Covenant”.......that made me giggle out loud.

Very clever, very cool. What a sweet puppy!

Thanks Rick M – I never considered a doggy door but that’s a god idea – there’s room enough inside for him!

It has a lot of character and it seems to also be a hit with your dog.
