Trumpet display stands

Tried my hand at turning for the first time this week for a friend who asked me for some display stands for some trumpets and this is what I came up with.

The wood is Norfolk Island Pine.

A very nice job David, and something well worth trumpeting about.
Apart from the obvious where did you get the timber? and I am assuming its a whole of trunk/log work.

nice way to get started,i think those are the first trumpet stands ive seen.have fun turning.
