I have had this walnut laying in my shop for many many years and finally did something with it. My brother Joe moved several years ago so I brought home a big load of white oak and walnut because he did not have room at his new place to store it. Lucky me and my brother Mike. Mike brought home a whole lot of shorts while I went for the longer pcs. The bark on the top was loose in most places so I removed that but left what felt solid enough on the legs. It is finished in Satin Poly after sanding it down from 80 grit to 500 grit. In the second photo there is a shot of where chain saw had left its mark so I had to straighten up the ends and cut me a slice to fill the void.

Nice looking table. Good patch on the chainsaw mark.
