My first attempt at wood turning and segmenting back in 2008, thought I would give it a go and this is what I came up with a segmented nut tray 300 mm in diameter x 70 mm high turned from Fijian Kauri. Being my first attempt I really had know idea what I was doing or how to use the chisels, the only one that resembled anything I new about the chisels was the parting tool but I managed to finish this bowl.

Comments welcome.

Must have done it right Keith, it’s still going after all these years.
Love the timber.

So, let me get this straight. You made this in 2008? It looks great.
