Oak segmented clock 320 mm in diameter, this started out to be an Oak platter but warped and twisted so much I couldn’t do anything with it so I cut it up into segments and glued it back together to come up with this.

Comments welcome.

Good thinking Keith and it is such a nice looking clock I never would have guessed it started out as a failed bowl. I think this kind of save is the hallmark of a very good craftsman.

Goes to show that a piece of wood rarely becomes firewood unless it has no character at all.
This is gorgeous mate.
Thanks for sharing..

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

Great save and design, now that’s thinking outside the box. I like how you preserved the grain orientation and didn’t just cut it into sections. Congrats on your DT3.
