Chip Carved Ball Foot Box
Basswood, 6×9 x 3H, top and bottom 7×10 x 1/2, with maple ball feet, concealed barbed hinges
Chip Carved with one knife, My Chip Carving Modified Diamond Deluxe Knife
Clear Rustoleum Matte Acrylic followed by gel stain, acrylic paint, light gel stain antiquing
I added the antiquing because I felt the paint colors were too bright :-)

Really nice. I think maybe I like the side detail more than the leaves, but put together it’s really nice.

The sides are just as beautiful as the top in a different way so they really complement each other for one outstanding project.

Thanks all! The photos represent the actual colors which I’m glad about. After the acrylic it was just a bit too bright for my taste. The antiquing did the trick IMHO. :-)
