Monster Truck from scrap

Here is a monster truck I built from scrap last week. I made it for a friend’s daughter. I am sure you can guess her name. Her dad likes the Oakland A’s, hence the green and gold. I modified Some of the ideas, which I took from others’ projects and from looking at truck pictures, to fit my thought process when I designed the truck somewhat on the on the fly. I learned from the train. I toned down and balanced the detail so the kid did not have to wait until she is thirty to touch it.

The wood is a combination of eastern maple, western maple, cherry, jatoba, alder, and some unidentified wood I think might be cypress.

Oh, look, my shop cats are in the background. Dang cats photobomb me.
