All made from pine, just need pad for the top.

Looks great and will match the stair-railing too.
It seems to have approval from the master of the house!

Exactly, I also have a lot of rough sawn pine in the house so it fits in well with that. And she loves to lay in it so its a definite approval haha.

Nice bench, but honestly I’m more intrigued by those newel posts on the railing. Is that your work, ‘cause wow, those are massive and neat?

Thanks. And I knew it will take a beating so using pine doesn’t hurt as much if you see a dent or chunk taken out compared to more expensive wood.

Thanks! And I did do the posts and railing work. The posts were off cuts of timber beams from my parents lake house, and thought I could make good use of them. They are very sturdy!!
