Another toy box, this one for my twin Grandchildren.

We put drawers at the bottom to give each their own space. The added advantage is that the bottom of the main storage area is not so far away from little children. A box this large is difficult for children to lean over and reach the bottom. Toys go down there and don’t come back up.

I made a box of 3/4 Birch Plywood and applied the Poplar frame and legs to the box. The 3/4 ply and the framework moved the hinge point too far away from the inside of the box for most closers. I had to go with Gas struts finally to get full opening and soft close.

Finished with stain and spray can Polyurethane.
