Many moons ago I had purchased a box of assorted PO Box Doors with the intent of making various banks. Now that the business is ramping back up it was time to get these done. I made the oak one and was showing a friend of mine who immediately said she would buy it and needed a second one. I had already done a different style one out of mahogany and she liked that wood. So I made the second one to match the oak one out of the mahogany.

The brass coin slots I just recently ordered off of Ebay.

Also just built a smaller (2’ cube) light box for doing better photos which is where these were taken. Still some work to do, right now it is only powered with two LED bulbs, one on either side so I think I need more or better focused light.

Nice job Rich! I really like the mahogany one. These PO boxes are a lot of fun to do and I have made quite a few of them. They sell at craft fairs better then any project I make! Look back at my projects and you might get some ideas. The large door when made into a box makes a great box for people to store their pistol in. I sold several for that. The mid size is what I make my banks out of. The small door is perfect to make a “bank truck” out of. The plans are on rockler for $1.00. Have fun with your “box full”, they are getting harder to find!
