Updated my router bit drawers

Sorry for the sideways pics. Rockler had a sale on these router bit inserts that hold either 1/2” or 1/4” bits. Thought I’d try them out. Love ‘em. They hold securely. I still have room underneath for misc stuff or bits that are too tall. The other drawer isn’t quite done. Waiting for another shipment of bit inserts. Lol

I bought a couple of packs to try and agree – they are pretty nice.

Good idea. I’m going to have to check Rockler and see about those inserts. I have the dense foam version with the holes in it. It’s always a challenge to get the bit out of the hole without cutting a finger since the holes are so tight. Plus there are a lot of unused holes and lost space. Your layout is compact but still accessible.

I was at the Rockler Store the other day, and they had put in 1/4” hex driver bits and spade bits in them. I am constantly trying to store my bits, this offers a good solution. I have the Lee Valley ones too, but they are either 1/2” or 1/4”, where these are both. Dan
