Saw cabinet

I like to alternate between shop things and non shop things. I knew I wanted to store my saws in a bit more orderly fashion. One panel saw hangs next to the window, two older panel saws sit awkwardly in a cardboard box, and my joinery saws, both Japanese and Western, sit in a mitre box my dad left me. I don’t have any cabinets so they are just covered with a blanket when not in use.

I’m still in the plan-following phase of woodwork, so I found a plan here:

I reckon this cabinet wouldn’t be a big deal if I used machines? (I don’t know, I don’t own any) Even the screws and holes drilled were done using hand tools on pine.

(note: I’m aware my drawer dovetails are round the wrong way! Good thing I never have to pull very hard)

Good looking cabinet, and you probably won’t forget which way the dovetails go again. Learning something is good!

I like that cabinet a lot. I have something similar on my “to build” list.
