Huh... it worked

Enlarged and upgraded my TS base in preparation for a VSC fence upgrade and router table addition.

All the material was stuff I had laying around taking up space. old 2×6 redwood decking, 5/8” OSB, scrap 2×4’s, a couple garage door pulleys, 2” & 3” casters and a garage sale winch.

The winch is a bit of a knee-knocker, so may need to come up with something different there.

I’ll get it prettied up with some paint as part of the TS restoration. Might even rebuild it with better materials. Not sure yet, but for now it’ll stay looking a bit redneck.

Figured out a few rough details with a couple sketches and away we went.

This was the old base. It worked, but the flex in the 2×4 runner allowed the back legs to drag.

Cool idea. My take on what to do with it once done. Make it look like a piece of equipment. Go all out, show off your skills in organization, colors, finishing etc etc.
