I decided to try my hand at making cutting boards for the first time so we could give them to family and friends as gifts. In order of appearance in the photos: ash live-edge with walnut and purple heart; walnut with cherry and purple heart; walnut live-edge with cherry; cherry cheese board; poplar with walnut.

I was happy with the results and will definitely be making more of these types of projects. I was amazed at the color contrasts across the grain in the poplar board, but all had great grain to just pops when the oil and conditioner is added. Just continued confirmation that making stuff is fun.

Happy New Year folks! Looking forward to seeing all your incredible projects in 2019.

Steal away, Larry! I’d be out of ideas in about a day if I didn’t. LOL

I agree, the cheese slicer is a great add on, and definitely this is fertile ground for new ideas, thoughts, and how to’s.
