My woodworking projects over the past couple of weeks have been a couple of trays and this little cedar box.
The front edge of the lid sits just a little bit proud of the front of the box and serves as the finger catch.
The bottom of the box is in a rabbet.
The finish is rattle can lacquer.
The hinge is a 4” stop hinge.
The box is 6” x 4.5” x 2”

Really enjoy the grain pairing on top…looks like a lit candle.

I see you left the inside bare – great, there will be an aroma for quite a while

Thanks for the kind words.
I was planning to use this board as a liner for another box but when I resawed it and opened it up the flame kinda demanded to be used for something.
