This is the third in a series of four bandsaw boxes (treasure boxes) I have undertaken as my Christmas shop project for 2018. This one is similar to others you will see on the internet, but it is still hand drawn and custom designed.
Face wood is cherry. Internal wood is hickory.
One drawer has a drawer insert to extend the usability of the box.

Nice bandsaw box! I like the design a lot and looks like you got the interiors very smooth. And, nice name carving on the back, very personal touch!

I neglected to also ask… what’s the approximate overall size?

Whimsically beautiful and very well done.
You got to love it when you see it!

The dimensions of this bandsaw box are 10” wide, 8” tall.
I used two coats of General Paint’s Arm-r-Seal finish (semi gloss). After the second coat I rubbed the surface with a fine abrasive pad, and top-coated it with hardwood paste wax. Then I rubbed it to a nice shine.

W.F. – thank you for the added info. Hope you don’t mind if we try one ourselves.

Very very nice! I really like how you arranged the end grain on the hickory.

Wood selection and form are both very striking.
