A friend of my daughter who is a city policewoman asked if I would make a honor coin display for her desk. Pretty straight forward design based on a bunch of internet examples posted by others. The wood is Black walnut. The shield design was from her city website. The image was so low resolution I ended up revectoring the whole thing. Cut the engraving on both ends with my CNC. Two coats of Watco Danish Oil natural finish and then 6-8 coats of a thinned 50-50 mix of polyurithain and mineral sprits. Wipe on and then wipe off with a 0000 steel wool rub down between coats.

Nice work.

Nice. I thought they were called challenge coins? I like the display. I have a bunch of those I use as ball markers.
