Some sample bowls I've turned

Here are three bowls I turned last year. The striped ones were glue-ups of two or three species, the solid one is straight walnut.

Is that Padauk (redish stripe)? Love the wood. Wish it was cheaper.

Yes, that’s padauk in the laminated stripe. I like working with it, tho it wants to bleed sawdust into neighboring wood and discolor it, ruining the contrast. I’ll post the segmented bowls I did to show that use of padauk next.
