Indoor Dog Kennel

My son has a German Shepherd and mentioned that he does not have a good place for her to sleep or be put up. He had an ugly metal crate, but wished he had something more like furniture. I made this indoor kennel with storage for him for Christmas. The dog in the picture is my German Shepherd. She climbed in several times during the build. I think she believed it was for her.

The barn door hardware is homemade from steel and patio door rollers I purchased at the big box store. The bars of the kennel are 3/8” rebar.

Finish is Minwax Classic Gray. Clear is Satin Poly.

Thanks for looking!

Nice dog nest. Now your shepherd is going to be jealous. ;-)
