I wanted a small table that could serve as a place to put drinks and snacks in front of the fire. The table also had to disappear when we didn’t want it out. I decided a drop leaf table was the better choice of style. Then I needed a design. Most of my furniture projects are in the Arts and Craft style, so that’s where I decided to go. Then I saw a photo of a Stickley style table much like this one (but larger). I drew up plans and off I went to our local saw mill to buy some cherry.
The table is 24×30 and 24 inches high. The stock was milled to 7/8. As you can see it folds into a neat hide-a-way size, but as a game table, of snack table, it is near perfection.

Very nice. I like the design… although I am sure I would set my drink on those protruding tennons and spill it more than once ;)
