Celebration boxes again…
Happy new year!

Hi guys ‘n’ girls.

Life seems to fly and I fly with it, so it has been a slow year for me on LJ…
Plenty of work are being done in my workshop, pictures are taken, ideas comes to life, friends come to visit and even work with me, but some how I just did not find the time or motivation, to post a lot here… Perhaps it’s natural after nine years here and more than 600 posts and blogs, perhaps it’s just me not having as much to tell, but I just started to feel repetition and so I would not bother the world, with my little life. ;-)
(Perhaps 2019 will be more active and I will get some of all the pictures sorted out and made into posts or blogs).

Well, here I am, just to wish you all a happy new years evening and a wonderful year to come, many of you are often in my thoughts with me in the shop and bringing me smiles, or reminding me how you do things, in different ways.

One this last day of the year, I will share the last celebration boxes I have made, they each hold a champagne cork, that represents a special day (yes I drink a lot of bobbles).
One is the first one I drank with my girlfriend Yeli, when I meet her this year.
One is from the day I was told, that the tumor I had operated out this year was not cancer anyway.
One is from my brothers wedding.
One is when Yeli and I had a summerhouse weekend.
One is for Yelis 45 years birthday.
One is for my 50 years birthday.
The tow last three is not from this year, but still important:
One is for the new apartment I bought.
One is for the new apartment when I moved in.
One is simply just celebrating life, with a friend.

Happy new year every one!

Life is beautiful every day, it’s just not every day we can see it.

Pictures:
1. Celebration boxes seems to grow.
2. Just simple mitered boxes with splines.
3. A new bunch.
4. Noting the celebrations.
5. Our friend Marcial and his lovely other half, came to visit my shop.
6. Knife making workshop, I made for my some of my Copenhagen friends.

Hope it can give you a reason to pop a cork or even remind some of you to celebrate life.

Best thoughts,

MaFe

Great to see you posting again Mads. That is a great idea to keep wonderful memories alive. It would never work for me though because I haven’t mastered the art of carefully removing champagne corks. I always open the bottle in the garden and the cork goes flying over my neighbour’s fence never to be seen again. LOL.

Happy New Year Mads. I haven’t done much in the way of posting here either. I’m working on a trip to Europe this year and plan to come to Denmark. I hope we have an opportunity to meet.

Hi Mad,
As always your post, limited by 6 photos, makes the whole thing. I’m very happy that you have new apartment and kept a workshop.
I’ll try to use this your phrase next year “Hope it can give you a reason to pop a cork or even remind some of you to celebrate life.”.

Happy New Year!
