First segmented bowl made from oak scraps and some cherry from my wife’s grandfathers shop. Big learning curve, realized my miter sled was not tuned as well as I thought when I started to glue the half rings together, had to do significant sanding to get rings to fit together resulting in the pattern being way off. I would also make the bottom thinner and add another row of oak above the design ring.
Fun project and big learning experience. Will definitely try again with a different sled (or if I can get mine adjusted better).

Very good for a first segmented bowl. Hope you post more segmented turnings.

Crowie I didn’t think I would enjoy turning as much as I do… it’s really enjoyable to make projects fairly quick or take a block of wood and make something
