We turned the storage space under the stairs into a play / mischief space for the kids. Reframed structure to allow the arched 2nd enterance. Both Harry Potter (cupboard under the stairs) and Narnia (one enterance is at the back of the wardrobe, with lamp post) themed. Walls inside are for graffiti. Trimmed most of it in cedar and images burned or painted in by in house art department.

I really respect you for stimulating your children’s imaginations with such ingenious creations, but be honest – Do other parents hate you? LOL
Great job, thanks for posting and Happy New Year!

Lol, thanks Leafheader. Happy New Year to you too! Yes, there has been the odd evil glare other parents when their kids come over for play date. :-)

That is a great idea. There was a storage area in my bedroom as a child. It was triangular, from the edge of the roof to where an 8’ ceiling could be created. I used to go in there with my brothers and draw on the wall that was the back of a bookshelf. I was always into art and I drew some strange things on that wall. I’ve wondered if the people that bought that house ever saw those drawings. The door to that area was only maybe 3’ tall and it was difficult for an adult to get into.

Thanks Ralbuck. Yeah…will have to see what the art department thinks up next. I believe it’s home made desks for each.

That’s awesome John. As a kid I had a little fort area to draw on the walls too.
