Thermally Modified Ash Dresser

First attempt at a large piece of furniture. The shelves and frame are birch plywood with painted pine face frame. The tope is thermally modified ash which has a great dark color. Pretty difficult to work with though.

Any reason you needed a weather proof top? I would think dye could color it as well, but much cheaper. No knock, just wondering is all.

The dark top works well against the lighter case.
