Bookmatch Ambrosia maple and dovetail Walnut Serving tray

I’ve seen bookmatched ambrosia maple before and had to try it, beautiful grain if you ask me. I filled the holes with black tinted epoxy and any defects in the walnut too. Dovetails were a bit loose so I filled with walnut dust and glue after the initial glue up. Sanded to 320 and finished with 2 coats of Emmets Good Stuff. 18”x14”

Nice, My first set is usually less than perfect so I always leave the boards 2 or 3 mistake long! No better learning tool than cutting off 5 or 6 tails and chopping out a new set!
