Recently my wife asked if we could install a breakfast bar under out 7ft long picture window off our kitchen. I wanted to do a live edge slab, but that didn’t work as planned…So, here is a nice piece of poplar from the home center! it was sanded up to 600 and finished with Shellac. It was quick, but it came out nice enough and it’s a great spot to have a cup of coffee and look into the woods at some birds!

Also I have included a picture of an incense holder that I made on my bandsaw and then planed the bottome flat. Basically its a branch from a tree that fell in a friends yard. I am uncertain of what kind of tree it is, however it had smooth bark and some really twisty branches. I tried spoon carving a couple, but it split very quickly, so I decided it would be a great incense holder.
Thanks for looking.
