I haven’t posted a project in a while, but I have been busy. We moved, so there was a need to set up a new shop, and then there were some household needs as well. Here are just a couple things I’ve been doing…
Set up shop and installed dust collection:
Built some floating shelves in the living room. It’s harder than it looks, since that’s a masonry wall:
And overcomplicated simple projects like these. (How? By insisting on using handplanes only to chamfer and prepare the surface for painting—first time for both—which meant that I really needed to upgrade my sharpening skills and restore a couple handplanes. I’m a powertool guy).

I love the new shop! And no, there is no such thing as a job too easy. I can take any task and turn it into a monumental project. Maybe we should make and sell T-shirts that say ”No job is too easy for us!”

The new shop looks like you’ve had it for years already. Great setup.
